This is an individual contribution , full-stack web application consultant role. Objective of this role is to AI-enable internal system, provide support and to regularly audit IT security of Sciente's internal systems/processes. The ideal candidate will be the one who could own-up the tasks, be responsible to deliver the outcomes within desired deadlines and could provide stability. Full-Stack Web Application Consultant will be responsible for supporting and enhancing Sciente’s internal systems through the following activities:Develop, maintain, and support highly interactive, high-performance, and user-friendly web applications using the LAMP stack, Elasticsearch, Smarty and AWS cloud services;Keep AWS infrastructure usage optimised with configurations, and overall system security/performance;Manage and support the internal implementation and administration of HubSpot CRM, Microsoft 365;Manage and keep Sciente’s corporate website built on WordPress, updated with content, SEO, UI/UX designs;Audit the system processes to comply with ISO27001 info security management and Personal Data Protection guidelines;Execute end-to-end project management activities, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and support;Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to conceptualise, define, design, and deliver enhancement requests and new solutions;Prepare, maintain, and update technical and process documentation in compliance with internal Quality Management System (QMS) standards;Troubleshoot issues, perform bug fixes, and continuously improve application stability and performance to ensure systems are available for internal and external users;For career progression: (a) Explore and implement AI-driven capabilities and automation opportunities across internal systems and platforms (this is our vision for internal systems) and (b) Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Qualifications and Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience to be able to perform the above responsibilities effectively and efficiently;Hands-on experience in the design, development, testing, and support of high-performance commercial or SaaS web applications;2-5 years of recent hands-on experience with the following technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, PHP, Apache, Elasticsearch, Smarty Templates, and MySQL;Strong understanding of relational database concepts, including data modelling, table design, data manipulation, complex joins, query optimisation, and application/database performance tuning;Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms (preferably AWS and with AWS certifications), API integrations, would be a huge advantage;Familiarity with configuration management, release management, and version control systems such as SVN and Git;Ability to prepare functional specifications, technical design documentation, and independently manage the full application lifecycle from development through deployment and support;Hands-on experience in managing WordPress websites, with a good understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive web design, and website optimisation best practices;Familiarity with image editing and digital content creation tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or similar platforms would be an advantage.Excellent verbal communication and comprehension skills, particularly over voice calls, are essential. Strong written English skills with the ability to understand and produce technical documentation are also required;Self-driven and proactive mindset with the ability to own-up with responsibility, work independently, take initiative, think creatively to solve problems and to make impacts;Exposure to application security best practices, Python development, and applied AI technologies (including the use of open-source AI libraries/frameworks) would be a plus for career progression.
